We would like to make garden furniture for the Community Garden. If you have a pile of old lumber laying around your yard or farm we can use it to make furniture like the chair pictured above. This chair is made from a 2x6, a 2x4, and a couple of 1x8s that were dragged out of a dumpster located at the site of a burned-out house.
The lumber can be in terrible shape: full of nails, paint encrusted, warped, and so on. The only restriction is for wood that is significantly rotted. If you dump this lumber on the concrete pad next to the garden, it will be hauled away (quickly) and manufactured into chairs, tables, and other good things and then put into the garden for the comfort of our gardeners and visitors.
